Chris Hutcheson

I’m a Toronto-based fine art photographer, interested in images of places at rest and performing artists at work.

I’m interested in capturing immersion - the point when performers are completely lost in their performance. Lately, I’ve been working in the burlesque community here and in Montréal, and with performers at the Free Concert Series at the Canadian Opera Company’s Four Seasons Centre.

My work is in a number of private and corporate collections, and I was recently recognized as a finalist entry in the Third Annual Nature in Focus Environmental Photography Competition, with a Corporate Purchase Award at the 2008 Artist Project Toronto and the Jurors Choice award at Art in the Yard in Elora.
